💡 What:
Replaced fs.readFileSync(path).toString() with fs.readFileSync(path, 'utf8') in packages/pod-install and packages/expo-brownfield/plugin.

🎯 Why:
In Node.js, calling readFileSync without an encoding returns a Buffer. Chaining .toString() allocates that buffer in memory only to immediately convert it to a string. By passing the encoding string directly to readFileSync, Node.js uses its C++ bindings to decode the file directly into a string, bypassing the intermediate buffer allocation. This serves as a valid micro-optimization, saving memory and processing overhead.

📊 Impact:
Reduces unnecessary intermediate memory allocations for file reading operations in the affected packages. While the impact per file is small, this pattern adds up over multiple I/O operations and follows Node.js best practices for string reading.

🔬 Measurement:
This is an established structural optimization in Node.js. It can be verified by observing that test suites continue to pass correctly:

yarn --cwd packages/pod-install jest --passWithNoTests
yarn --cwd packages/expo-brownfield jest --passWithNoTests
